Hello TABSE Members
,

Welcome to a year of Great Beginnings.  You have a new opportunity to renew your dedication to the advancement of our children.  We are working with a generation who may not use a postage stamps.  Developing their character is critical.  They observe and follow the example that we give to them.  What we say and do is more important that what "looks good".  They need transparent individuals who can work as a team to reproduce a quality of life that utilizes the potential in them.

Mentoring is an action that every member can to take this year.  The benefits that our students will receive will be huge.  Giving is living.  When we give of our time, we live.  It is easy to exist and enjoy pleasures of life. At the start of this year, let's commit more to our children.

"Education is a Civil Right" is being promoted by the National Alliance of Black School Educators".  Texas supports this agenda and will be active with all of our affiliates. Support our annual conference with your attendance and promotion of the conference in Galveston, Texas, March 6-8, 2008.

Affiliate presidents are asked to lead their affiliate in the state and national agendas.  "Each one lead one, if not you, Who?"

Mary L. Thomas Ed.D.
