The Simmons School of Education & Human Development invites applications for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in The Department of Education Policy and Leadership. The EPL Department offers masters and doctoral level programs and seeks an individual who values innovation and collaboration. All school leadership degree programs are anchored in a commitment to equity and impacting the trajectory of schools and districts in urban settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in recruiting, guiding cohort selection, teaching, curriculum development, and advising. Teaching will include courses in two masters level principal preparation programs and a doctorate of education superintendent preparation program. This position will collaborate with the faculty in an ongoing process of continuous improvement including assessment and evaluation of program outcomes and impact. The Ed.D. Program is a three-year executive-style experience in which students gather in person 10 weekends each year as well as two summer intensive sessions. Courses include an online component. Minimum Requirements: Doctorate in educational leadership or administration, instructional leadership or closely related field. Record of relevant teaching, campus-level leadership experiences in K-12, evidence of successful leadership in K-12 education, & evidence of partnerships, networks, and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications: Successful experience in a variety of school district level leadership serving diverse student populations and a commitment to working in an interdisciplinary teaching and learning environment.
